Personality: Probably the defining feature of this damsel is her curiousity; she wants to know everything. She tends to believe that everyone loves her, and even if you don’t know her, occasionally she will be welcoming to those who are kind to her. But the reason she is a Neutral cannot be pushed away. She’s not always friendly to everyone, and those who are impolite to her will face an annoying smart ass. Being stubborn sometimes, it’s hard to make someone do what they are told when they refuse. Let’s put it this way…she likes who she likes, and hates who she hates.
History: Born a Neutral brat, Fate was raised in a tiny herd just outside both light and dark territories. Always sneaking away when she was younger, Fate managed to be accepted by both darks and lights playing with the other foals there. While telling her parents she was just ‘exploring the land’ although she really wasn’t. It’s how she stayed a neutral, watching and learning the ways of both Light and Dark in a matter of time. Darks told her that lights are stuck up goody-goods who think they are better then others. On the other hand, Lights told Fate Darks are nothing but troubled souls who don’t give a damn about others. Who to believe? Maybe they both are right. Coming home with a lot of information she shouldn’t be learning, her mother and father became worried and literally kept her imprisoned in the herds’ territory. After a while, it annoyed little Fate, and she left at the age of two, drifting into these extraordinary lands looking for a companion or a herd…maybe both if she was lucky enough.
Since then, she has made many friends and lost more than a few as well, sadly. She first met a palomino stag called Ramses who took her into his herd. He was very kind and happily reassured the young femme that befriending those outside of the Neutral Alliance was certainly not a crime and that her parents had been wrong. He also was fine with her intense curiousity and did not mind her questions. Happy with this freedom and with such a good friend as Ramses, Fate might have lived out her life happily in this new home. Unfortunately, that was not to be. Only a year later, Ramses had disappeared without a trace. A week later, Fate learned that her friend and leader had died. After that, the little femme took to wandering again. She travelled for a short while with Karina, an aged mustang mare that had also briefly sojourned in Ramses' herd, but they eventually parted company on amiable terms. Eventually, Fate found herself in the Helkaer land of the leader of that band of assassins. Fortunately for her, the one who found her did not threaten her in any way and in fact was amicable to her becoming a member of the herd. The land intrigued the young femme and she accepted the offer, if for no other reason than to find out more about the place. The first stallion to take her in died quite suddenly, but Stelios, the next one to take command, was equally reasonable in allowing her to stay, even answering some of her questions about the land. Somehow he knew a great deal about the place, though how such was possible, Fate did not know. Questions in that regard were never answered, however, as Stelios himself died not too long afterward, his home falling into the control of his son, Leonidas.
What will happen next, no one knows. Fate looks forward to the future with the same curiousity that has marked her since she was a young foal. With the death of Leonidas, the buckskin roan took once more to roaming, learning everything there was to know about the world around her. In her meanderings about the land, she became acquainted with a gentleman by the name of Saosin. Their conversation was enjoyable and though he had to head back to his home eventually, he invited her to come visit at any time or even to live there. While Fate has not been sure about actually settling down anywhere, a lightning strike that was nearly the death of her has given her the time to stay in Opalescent Harbour and decide while she is convalescing...
